Reference Services: Answering Questions

Instruction Services: Teaching Research Strategies
Occasionally librarians are asked into specific classrooms to speak on general library research in the subject, or about a particular research topic in the class. Teaching faculty can schedule instruction here. Keeping what you receive from such instruction sessions is the best way to help yourself later. This material often contains important directions.

* Harrogate campus library users
* Provides access to materials that Carnegie-Vincent Library does not own
* Loans take from five days to three weeks processing time to arrive
* Lending Policies (Other institutions)

* Items needed are shipped to student
* If Carnegie-Vincent Library owns the item, we’ll ship it via USPS library rate. Item should arrive within two weeks
* If Carnegie-Vincent Library does not own the item, we will borrow it from another library through our interlibrary loan service. It could take up to four weeks to receive the item.
* Extended learning site patrons are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to Carnegie Vincent Library.

Equipment Scheduling
For faculty and staff only, the library lends technology equipment to LMU affiliates in order to enhance classroom learning.
Equipment available includes:

* Overhead Projectors
* Televisions
* VCRs
* DVD & CD Players
* Audience-Cassette Players
* Slide Projectors
