Sept. 8, 1853. DS, 1 p. Re: a deed for a certain lot that was sold to A.J. Kalb in the town of Lincoln–named after Abraham Lincoln, the surveyor of the town. Donated by Charles W. Olsen.

This wax imprint on paper is supposedly the personal seal of President Lincoln. This red sealing wax imprint depicts an eagle, and it is inscribed “The President of the United States.” Gift of Ralph A. Gregory.
