B. Frank “Tex” Turner Finding Aid

Frank “Tex” Turner attended LMU from 1923 until 1926. He was a star athlete; team captain and quarterback for the football team as well as a member of the basketball team. Tex was a generous benefactor. He donated funds to help build the university a new gymnasium in 1990. The Tex Turner Arena, home to the Railsplitters and the Lady Railsplitters. The Arena also holds the Athletic Hall of Fame and is a practice area of the soccer, golf, baseball and softball teams.
