One must downoad iTunes and then register and create an account to be able to browse and search the iTunes store, which has numerous free helpful applications and podcasts. Search for applications by name to find them. Free applications include Eponyms (for students), Medscape, Taber’s Medical Dictionary, uBurn Lite, NextBio, MedCalc, ImageVis3D Mobile with 3-D imagesof medical CT and MRI scans, and more. You can download STAT ICD-9 Lite for free, but please note that this application will only be current until new codes are released in October 2009. Free podcasts include the Texas Tech Medcast USMLE Step Exam Prep Series. Verify a product’s accuracy and currency before downloading it.
