Searching Guide for Constructivism Articles

There are a couple of different ways you can find articles about constructivism. Probably the best and easiest is to use one or a couple of the library’s databases. I would recommend either ERIC or ProQuest.

Log in to ERIC from the library’s homepage. www.library.lmunet.edu > Databases > Education > ERIC (or ProQuest).

You can do a simple keyword search for “constructivism” but this will likely get you a lot of different things. Instead of wading through this, try doing a subject search. In ERIC, subjects are called descriptors and the most apt descriptor for this would probably be:

DE Constructivism (Learning)

You can just copy and paste this into the search box. This should get you are 4,200 results and all of these will be about constructivism in some way. You can further narrow this down by adding more search terms. Maybe you want to find articles about constructivism for reading or mathematics, try these as keywords in the other search boxes.
