October 23, 2009 – Update 1
The library now has a site license to The Medical Letter Inc. It includes Medical Letter Inc.’s well-regarded newsletters, CME/CE, an adverse drug interactions program, and a handbook of antimicrobial therapy. There is a link to a demo on the bottom left of the main page. The institutional access does include free downloads for PDAs with Palm OS.
To access The Medical Letter Inc., click on “Full Text Journals” on the medical library homepage. In the box to the right of “Title begins with” type in medical letter and then click search. You will want to clink the link for “Single Journals” within the entry for “Medical letter on drugs and therapeutics (English ed.).”
If you have any questions, I’d be glad to answer them.
Added The Medical Letter Inc. to the webpage for free PDA software. It is listed under M for Medical in the alphabetical list.
Added link to demo to institutional site license demo for The Medical Letter Inc. to the provider-created tutorials section of the tutorials page.
Combined Bill’s and Lisa’s schedules into one page; click on the link for “Schedules for Bill and Lisa” on the homepage to see them. Renamed Lisa’s Blog as Reed Medical and Allied Health Library’s Blog. Click on “Library News” on the homepage to see the blog; the lastest two blog entries are always visible on the library homepage.
