Services for Faculty
Information Literacy Instruction
Librarians routinely present and provide instruction to classes at all levels. Much of our instruction is related to information literacy and the research process. To schedule an instruction session, contact your subject librarian, the library directly, or fill out this form.
Upon request, a subject liaison librarian will travel to an off-campus site to provide face-to-face classroom instruction. Contents of presentations (i. e. PPT slideshows and handouts) can be posted online via the online library subject guides or via Blackboard - just email library@lmunet.edu.
Research and Course Guides
Research and course guides are online web pages created by librarians to gather subject or course-specific resources and help patrons perform various tasks, such as using library resources or doing research. We offer a number of guides in subjects like Allied Health, Arts and Humanities, Business, Education, Information Literacy, Math and Sciences, Nursing, and Social Sciences.

Institutional Repository (IR)
https://digitalcommons.lmunet.edu/
The IR is a platform for advancing knowledge, demonstrating achievements, and building the reputation of the university. The repository stores and provides access to published and unpublished items produced by LMU affiliates. Research articles, working papers, conference papers, presentations, theses and dissertations, and other scholarly works may all be published in the IR.
Benefits of publishing in the IR include:
Questions about the institutional repository, including requests for submissions, should be directed to the IR team at LMUIR@lmunet.edu or to Ashley Smith at Ashley.smith927@lmunet.edu.
Our collection development practices help guide librarians and faculty in gathering new resources to support LMU's academic programs and maintain currency and relevance for the library collections as a whole. You can download the full policy using the link below.
The Course Reserves Collection is comprised of library or personal materials that circulate for 4-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, or 3-day periods as requested by the faculty.
