According to Britannica, prompt engineering is a "process of designing inputs for generative artificial intelligence (AI) models to deliver useful, accurate, and relevant responses" (Comstock, 2024).

ChatGPt Button

ChatGPT was developed by OpenAI, an artificial intelligence company founded in 2015. The program generates text, code, and images. ChatGPT is accessible via the web, iOS, and Android. A basic account is free however there are flexible pricing accounts available.  ChatGPT collects personal information and provide information to partners, in addition to analysis of user behavior, more information at: OpenAI Privacy Policy

Gemini Button

Gemini was developed by Google AI, and was released in March 2023. Gemini is accessible via Google app integrations or the Gemini website and generates text, code and images. It also includes links to some web sources. A standard Google account grants access to basic AI services using an @gmail.com account. An upgraded version can be purchased, pricing can be found here. Meta AI Button

Meta AI was developed by Meta, formerly Facebook, Inc.  Meta AI generates text, code, and images. You can use Meta without an account through Meta AI and the cost is free. Meta Privacy Policy requires submission of name and email to download the model. Once downloaded, the model can then be run locally without sharing data.

Consensus Button Consensus is a literature search tool using Semantic Scholar to find, summarize, and extract data from papers. It features a "consensus meter" that answers yes/no questions based on study percentages and integrates with Microsoft CoPilot. The free account offers unlimited searches with some CoPilot features, with an option to upgrade.
Elicit Button Elicit is a literature search tool that focuses on empirical research, such as randomized controlled trials in social sciences and biomedicine. It uses citations and open-access papers from Semantic Scholar to discover, summarize, and extract data. A free account offers unlimited searches, summaries of up to four papers at once, and more, with an option to upgrade for additional features.
ResearchRabbit Button ResearchRabbit, known as the "Spotify for papers," is a free tool that uses citations and open-access papers from Semantic Scholar to visualize connections between papers and researchers. It also recommends and summarizes papers for users.
Adobe Creative Cloud Button Adobe Creative Cloud offers AI-enhanced tools for graphic design, video editing, and photography. Subscription-based. Available online and through desktop applications.
Canva Button Canva AI enhances design capabilities with features like text suggestions, image generation, and layout recommendations. Free and paid versions are available online and through mobile app.
Stable Diffusion Button Stable Diffusion generates images, video and audio. Free and paid versions. Available to download and run locally, or use online through Stable Assistant. 
Github Copilot Button

GitHub Copilot generates and optimize code in many programming languages. Free and paid subscriptions are available.
