Find Articles in Major Business Publications

LMU libraries provide full-text access to articles from Forbes magazine. You can access them one of two ways:

  1. Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
  2. Select "Forbes" from the list of results. It should be the first one. A list of three options should appear to the right. These are the companies that the library subscribes to Forbes through. You will see that our subscriptions goes back farther with some than others. 
  3. Select one of these links:
    1. The first link will take you to a landing page for Forbes. You can browse issues by year using the links to the right. Or you can click on "Search within this publication," which will take you to another page where you can enter in search terms.
    2. The other links will take you to Nexis Uni, where you can enter in search terms to search Forbes

Or:

  1. Search the library catalog for "Forbes." 
  2. From the first result, click on the green "Access Journal" button. A pop-up menu will appear with several links. These are the companies that the library subscribes to Forbes through. You will see that our subscriptions goes back farther with some than others. 
  3. Select one of the first four links:
    1. The first two links will take you to a landing page for Forbes. You can browse issues by year using the links to the right. Or you can click on "Search within this publication," which will take you to another page where you can enter in search terms.
    2. The other two links will take you to Nexis Uni, where you can enter in search terms to search Forbes

LMU libraries provide full-text access to articles from Havard Business Review. You can access them one of two ways:

  1. Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
  2. Select "Harvard Business Review" from the list of results. It should be the first one. A list of options should appear to the right. These are the companies that the library subscribes to Harvard Business Review through. You will see that our subscriptions goes back farther with some than others. The first link is the best as it provides access to the most articles. 
  3. Select the first link. This will take you to a landing page for Harvard Business Review. You can browse issues by year using the links to the right. Or you can click on "Search within this publication," which will take you to another page where you can enter in search terms.

Or:

  1. Search the library catalog for "Harvard Business Review." 
  2. It should be the first result. If you don't see it, from the options on the left, narrow your search results down to "Journal, Magazine." 
  3. Click on the green "Access Journal" button. A pop-up menu will appear with several links. These are the companies that the library subscribes to Harvard Business Review through. You will see that our subscriptions goes back farther with some than others. 
  4. Select the first link. This will take you to a landing page for Harvard Business Review. You can browse issues by year using the links to the right. Or you can click on "Search within this publication," which will take you to another page where you can enter in search terms.

LMU libraries provide full-text access to articles from Financial Times. You can access them one of two ways:

  1. Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
  2. Select "Financial Times, The" from the list of results. It should be the last one. A list of options should appear to the right. These are the companies that the library subscribes to Financial Times through.
  3. Select any of these links. They will take you to a landing page for Financial Times. From there you can browse issues by date (note that the most recent month is not available). You can also enter search terms in the "Search within publication" bar to the right.

Or:

  1. Search the library catalog for "financial times." 
  2. It should be the second result. If you don't see it, from the options on the left, narrow your search results down to "Journal, Magazine." 
  3. Click on the green "Access Journal" button. A pop-up menu will appear with several links. These are the companies that the library subscribes to Financial Times through.
  4. Select any of these links. They will take you to a landing page for Financial Times. From there you can browse issues by date (note that the most recent month is not available). You can also enter search terms in the "Search within publication" bar to the right.

  1. Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
  2. Select "Wall Street Journal" from the list of results. It should be the first one. A list of options should appear to the right. These are the companies that the library subscribes to The Wall Street Journal through.
  3. Select the first of these links. It will take you to a landing page for The Wall Street Journal. From there you can enter search terms or browse issues by date. 

Or:

  1. Search the library catalog for "wall street journal." 
  2. It should be the first result. If you don't see it, from the options on the left, narrow your search results down to "Journal, Magazine." 
  3. Click on the green "View Online" button. A pop-up menu will appear with several links. These are the companies that the library subscribes to The Wall Street Journal through.
  4. Select the second of these links. It will take you to a landing page for The Wall Street Journal. From there you can enter search terms or browse issues by date.

LMU libraries provide full-text access to articles from The New York Times. You can access them one of two ways:

  1. Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
  2. Select the fourth "New York Times" link from the list of results. Another link should appear in a box to the right.
  3. Select the link. It will take you to a landing page for The New York Times. From there you can enter search terms or browse issues by date. 

Or:

  1. Search the library catalog for "new york times." 
  2. It should be the first result. If you don't see it, from the options on the left, narrow your search results down to "Journal, Magazine." 
  3. Click on the green "Access Journal" button. A pop-up menu will appear with several links. These are the companies that the library subscribes to The New York Times through.
  4. Select the first of these links. It will take you to a landing page for The New York Times. From there you can enter search terms or browse issues by date.

LMU libraries provide full-text access to articles from Bloomberg Businessweek (2010-present) and Businessweek (1996-2010). You can access them one of two ways:

  1. Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
  2. Select the first link from the list of results. Another link should appear in a box to the right.
  3. Select the Bloomberg Businessweek link. It will take you to another landing page. From here you can either search within the publication or browse issues by year and date. NOTE: The library's holdings on this page include the full range of both Bloomberg Businessweek and Businessweek. These are the same serial, which underwent a title change in 2010.

Or:

  1. Search the library catalog for "Bloomberg Businessweek." 
  2. It should be the first result. Do not use any of the results under it, although they may have the same title.
  3. Click on the green "View now" button. This will take you to another landing page. From here you can either search within the publication or browse issues by year and date. NOTE: The library's holdings on this page include the full range of both Bloomberg Businessweek and Businessweek. These are the same serial, which underwent a title change in 2010.

LMU libraries provide full-text access to articles from The Economist. You can access them one of two ways:

Search the library's Full Text Journal Finder by title.
Select Economist, The from the list of results. It should be the third one. A list of several options should appear to the right. These are the companies that the library subscribes to The Economist through. You may see that our subscriptions go back farther with some than others.

The first link should take you to the landing page for The Economist. You can browse issues by year using the links in the scroll down menu. Or you can enter search terms in the "Search within this publication," bar--be sure to use the bar on the far right side of the page and not the one at the top! 

Or:

Search the library catalog for The Economist. As too many results will come up, you will need to further restrict your results by format in the left hand column to "Journal, Magazine." Then you can click on the green "Access Journal" button in the first result. A pop-up menu will appear with several links. These are the companies that the library subscribes to The Economist through. You may see that our subscriptions go back farther with some than others.

Search the library catalog for "Fortune." As too many results will come up, you will need to further restrict your results by format in the left hand column to "Journal, Magazine." Then you can click on the green "Access Journal" button in the first result. A pop-up menu will appear with two links that are close to the same.

Journal of Business Research is organized to address concerns in the fields of Marketing, Social psychology, Advertising, Industrial organization and Context (language use). The main emphasis of Journal of Business Research is the subject of Marketing, focusing on Consumer behaviour. Management Science focuses largely on the fields of Mathematical optimization, Microeconomics, Operations research, Marketing and Econometrics. The research on Mathematical optimization discussed in the journal draws on the closely related field of Algorithm. The works on Microeconomics deal in particular with Incentive.

International Journal of Production Research

International Journal of Production Research mainly deals with areas of study such as Mathematical optimization, Operations research, Production (economics), Supply chain and Scheduling (production processes). The studies on Mathematical optimization discussed can also contribute to research in the domains of Algorithm and Scheduling (computing), Flow shop scheduling, Job shop scheduling. While Operations research is the focus of it, it also provided insights into the studies of Production manager and Process (engineering).

Business Strategy and the Environment

The concepts of Marketing, Sustainability, Sustainable development, Industrial organization and Accounting are tackled in the journal. While work presented in it provided substantial information on Marketing, it also covered topics in Stakeholder, Corporate social responsibility, Process (engineering) and Process management. Stakeholder theory is a major topic of Stakeholder research presented in it.

Journal of International Business Studies

The journal generally zeroes in on subjects such as International business, Organizational culture, Marketing, Multinational corporation and New business development. In Journal of International Business Studies, Industrial organization, Finance, Foreign direct investment, Economic system and Market economy are investigated in conjunction with one another to address concerns in International business research. The research on Industrial organization featured in the journal combines topics in other fields like Emerging markets and Transaction cost.
