Osteopathic Medicine: Databases

Students and researchers generally rely on databases to find scholarly information.

A database is an organized, searchable collection of scholarly information like academic journal articles.

This page shows you which databases are provided to you through the library.

Research Consultations

If you would like to request a research consultation, please contact your librarian(s), Daniel Ferrer (Harrogate) or Jacquelynn Stephens (Knoxville).

In addition to electronic and print resources provided by the library, medical librarians are happy to speak with students for additional assistance.

Research consultations may include instruction on database searching, literature searches, article downloads, web searching, and more. Your librarian is here to help with any information needs you have related to research, writing, and publishing! Consultations are typically scheduled one-on-one, but larger groups are always welcome.

Literature Searches are recommended for faculty, staff, students, and residents who are performing research on a topic and need help finding existing literature. After speaking to your librarian, she will perform a literature search and send you results to review.
