How do I access e-books and online journals?

Accessing E-Books

  • Visit the Library Website: Go to the LMU Libraries' official website.

  • Navigate to the E-Books Section: Look for a link labeled “Full-Text Journals” This will direct you the browsing bar, then select 'E-books' from the tab list above the search bar.

  • Search or Browse: You can search for specific titles, authors, or subjects in the e-book catalog or browse by categories.

  • Log In: If you are off-campus, you may need to log in with your library credentials (student ID and password) to access e-books.

  • Open the E-Book: Click on the title of the e-book you wish to read. Follow any on-screen instructions to view or download the book, depending on the platform used. Some databases may require you to download Adobe Digital Editions.

Accessing Online Journals

  • Visit the Library Website: Start at the LMU Libraries' official website.

  • Navigate to the Journals Section: Look for a link labeled “Full-Text Journals.” This will take you to the library's journal collections.

  • Search for Specific Journals: You can search by journal title or browse through the list of available journals by subject area.

  • Log In: As with e-books, you may need to log in if you are accessing from off-campus.

  • Access Articles: Once you find the desired journal, click on it to view the available issues. You can then browse articles, download PDFs, or view them online.
