Remote Access

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Libraries offer a wide range of digital resources accessible to students, faculty, and staff from any location. Here’s how you can access these resources remotely:

  • LMU Library Website: Start by visiting the LMU Library website. Here, you can find links to various resources, including databases, e-books, journals, and more.

  • Logging In: To access most digital resources, you will need to log in using your LMU credentials. This typically involves entering your LMU email address and password. (please see graphic)

  • Databases: Navigate to the 'A-Z Databases' section of the library website to find a comprehensive list of databases. These include scholarly articles, research papers, and other academic content across various disciplines.

  • E-books and E-journals: The library offers a vast collection of e-books and e-journals. You can access these through the Books & E-Books and Journals & E-Journals on the library website. Use the search function to find specific titles or browse by subject.

  • Library Catalog: Use the Library Catalog to search for physical and digital materials. For digital items, you will often find direct links to access the content online.

  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL): If you need a resource that is not available in LMU’s collection, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. Fill out the request form available on the library website, and the library staff will help you obtain the material from another library.

  • Research Guides: LMU Libraries offer specialized research guides for various subjects. These guides provide curated lists of resources, tips for conducting research, and contact information for librarians who can assist you.

  • Virtual Chat: If you need help with accessing resources, you can use the Virtual Chat service. Contact librarians via email, chat, or phone for assistance with research questions, accessing databases, and more.

When logging into your library account or attempting to access a resource off-site, you will need to login with your LMU credentials (the username and password assigned to you by LMU). Remember to omit the 'lmunet.edu' from your username.
